In cultures all over the world the new mother is honored nourished and supported. In my own journey as a mother of three and a midwife for 18 years, I feel our culture is deeply lacking in this support so this is my way of using my newfound knowledge of Ayurveda, the plants in my garden that I have used to support me in my family, breast-feeding experience, and the beauty that grows out of great struggle to help support new moms. This is such a sacred time in the life of a woman. Postpartum Doula experience will include various options. The basic package will consist of herbal teas, herb infused oils baths, a nourishing meal, breast-feeding support, honoring of a birth story, and up to four hours of support in your home. Additional options include Ayurveda massage and chef, House Cleaning, meal prep, child care for other children, photography, or planning and coordination of the mom’s special needs. Can be given as a gift to a new mom.
